Axim x3i brightness setting issue

Hi all,

Have an Axim x3i with a brightness setting issue. Sometimes after the backlight dims automatically on battery power, the backlight brightness setting will reset itself all the way to the left (off) and needs adjusted back to its original setting manually via the menus. Any thoughts? The backup battery is showing "abnormal" and won't charge, but I keep the main battery fully charged. Could this be the problem? Thanks.

Has the X3i always behaved as such? If not, try a soft reset and if that doesn't work try a hard reset.

Either way you should replace the backup battery, Drifter has them for sale new and cheap.
