    Hello 2WIRE-

We always suggest updating to the newest ROM for the Axim and for the router. Another frequent problem is having the router broadcasting in 802.11g only mode and not 802.11b/g or only 802.11b. The Axim requires b/g or b.

2WIRE hasn't been back since December, so I suppose he solved his problem.

Just to add some general advice ... I had a problem connecting my X30 to WiFi ... beginners mistake.

You should change the setting in Odyssey from <any> to <your-routers-name> ... where your-routers-name is ... you know ...

Otherwise Odyssey can continue looping through available devices and what you'll probably see as an error message is that your connection is far too weak to work.

My problem was that I was filtering the MAC addresses at the router, but hadn't added my X30!

Oh, don't get me started on the broader perspective. I've only had a wireless router for a couple of months. Since then, I've gotten a server up and running, accessible to the outside world, even though my ISP provides a dynamic IP address. And my Nokia E70 and now my Axim X30 use WiFi. I've even been making free long distance calls with VoIP on my cell phone (Truphone beta).

None of it is actually that hard when you figure out what's what and what you're supposed to do. But for a newbee ..... it wasn't all done in a day.
