Dell Foldable Keyboard

Hi,

Anyone ever successful getting the Dell foldable keyboard to work? I have tried everything. Dell sent me two keyboards and both do not work. Dell will not take back the second one saying something is wrong with my X3 (they won't tell me what's wrong with it). The X3 works fine. The serial input works on docking station, PSK31 radio connections and even works with GPS serial input. I have not had any other problems with the X3

I have tried all the typical things such as:

1. obtain all updated drivers, patches etc. from Dell website. Updated ROM's etc.
2. enabled keyboard
3. copied the KeybdG7LO to the start-up file
4. running ROM A00(09100300EN)
5. using latest activesync
6. tried soft and hard resets

Have you installed the ROM and drivers update patch for the X3 from Dell? It says ROM A01, not A00.

Dear Mahstah,

Thank you for your help. You are right. I thought I did install the updated ROM's but my X3 does still say "A00". I tried again to install the update from your link and my computer says the patch is already installed and I don't need to install. However, my X3 still shows ROM version A00. Why won't it take the new A01 and say its already installed when clearly my X3 says the version is A00. Go figure. I tried to delete all the driver patches on the X3 but says it can't uninstall because programs in use. I go to "Running Programs" and it shows nothing. Agin go figure. Any ideas?

Since you've already hard reset a few times, give it another go and try updating right afterwards.
