Help recovering .dbk from Axim X3
I have been charged with recovering the address book from a mostly dead Axim X3.
When in the cradle, the power light stays orange.
If I leave the battery out for more than a few hours the device completely resets, to the point where I have to recalibrate the screen.
In that state I was able to restore the address book from the .dbk file on an acompanying SDcard.
Unfortunately, the device does not function long enough for me to sync it with outlook. It completely freezes and does not respond to buttons or screen touch.
I can/have copied the .dbk from the sdcard and moved it to a work (read recovery) machine, and I am hoping I can find a way to extract the address book, or virtualize the windows mobile environment long enough to recover the information.
Help, links to tutorials... anything you guys can do would be greatly appreciated.
I am an experienced tech, but this is my first time in this situation.
