When you first receive your PDA, it says to charge the battery for 8 hours prior to use. Can you power on your PDA during this initial charge to start using it?

The 8 hours is to charge and conditionm the battery.

You can use it during these 8 hours as long as it is in the cradle or connected to external power

I had the battery charging for approx 4 hours and the light on the power button turned green. I allowed it to charge for approx 1 more hour, then disconnected it. Should this be OK?

Also, I was wondering where you would go about getting free games to install. I have seen where there is a tetris game out there and was wondering if it was free.

WHOOPS.

well as you have now disconnected. it makes no difference.. The 8 hours is /was important as this will condition the battery. Yes it will have charged within 4 hours, but the extra time: the full 8 hours ensures that you would have got maximum life out of the battery. So you only gave it 5 hours... it is possible that you will need to buy a new battery a little quicker.

I don't know how you can recover the position.

No, sorry.

The best I can suggest is to fully discharge the battery and then recharge for the full time.

But from then on, keep the battery as charged as possible, Li-Ion batteries like being charged
