Bluetooth X3i and Tomtom GPS problems

I have a Dell X3i with bluetooth and am trying to get it to work with TonTom 2 bluetooth GPS (UK legitimate version).

I cannot get the navigator software to produce anything other than "GPS position unreliable" despite upgrading to the 2.09 GPS driver as padvised by tomtom support.

I can set up the bluetooth pairing and the navigator wizard will connect to the GPS serial output, but after about 5 minutes the connection is dropped - at no time does the software acknowledge the GPS receiver is active (It is flashing both blue & green LED's at this point).

I can connect and use other Bluetooth devices with no problems

I am concerned that the Tomtom 2 may not be compatable with the BT X3i. We also have an Ipaq 5550 with the same Tomtom hardware and software (its own) and that works with no problem at all.

I am still waiting for tomtom support to provide a response. Anyone else having similar problems?
