is there any way to customize the switcher app thru a registry hack or something? specifically, i'd like the ability to move the icon to another location.

And i agree, that icon is crazily placed. Let's move it...

I'd recommend just getting a different task manager. There are tons out there and most are much better then the switcher app thats built in.

Here's a link to the switcher bar I use. Very customizable, and a lot more practical. Best part, it's freeware, so knock yourself out.

WISBar is very nice, and it's free. Also, HanySwitcher is also an excellent product.

Use file explorer and go to

\Windows\Shortcut\System

find Switcher Bar there

Copy it and place a shortcut in

\Windows\Start Menu

You now have the Dell switcher app right when you click on the Windows Icon in the top left of the today screen.
