    Help with upgrading

I recently purchased an X30 and wish to transfer my data from my X3. I tried an activesync, but I was told that my version of activesync did not match that needed by the X30. How can I update activesync, and, if I do, will that version work with my X3? What is the best way to transfer data? I have backed up my X3 data onto an SD card. Can I use the restore feature of the X30 to transfer data? Will the accessories and battery for my X3 work with my X30? Thanks for your help!!

Download activesync 4.5 here. You can't restore pim backups across different versions of windows mobile, except with certain third party backup programs. SPB Backup should help you out there, you can run selective backups. and I wouldn't recommend transferring your system settings, just tasks calendar, addresses. You can use the trial of SPB backup. Good software to have though. Once you've got the x30 syncing though, it should transferall your outlook data, making the need to restore a backup unnecessary. Most of your accessories except for the battery should work with the x30. The battery is about 960 Mah, compared to the x30 1100something Mah Although I think they look to be the same size physically. Welcome to the site

    Upgraded easily.

Thanks for the information. I was easily able to move my data to the X30.

I have another question. How can I turn an Excel spreadsheet on its side, so I can view it on the long side of my X30?

    Thanks for your help!!

hi, you can also set your buttons on the axim so you dont have to keep going into systems/ settings, go to settings/personal/buttons, you can allocate the buttons with different opitions, i have (going along the bottom of my x51), 1st button = word docs,
2nd button = screen rotation, (nothing i need on large button in middle) 3rd button=email, 4th button = web home site, the lower button on the side = calculater, this makes things so much quicker
