I personally own an X51V and realize it has limits; in fact any electronic device does. From what I've been reading on the net it appears that everyone is going the smartphone way. As many of you are aware, this does not always have anything to do with small is better. I personally have a PDA, laptop, PC, etc, and each has a purpose. The point I am trying to make is that while making things smaller is cool, it does not necessarily mean better. I am concerned that packing PDA capabilities, wifi, cameras, etc onto a small platform will, and has resulted in loss of quality straight across the board. Will all of the computing power, communications power, etc be available in small package in the future? Absolutely! But not now; at least at a price that anyone can afford. For now I am content to plan ahead and bring the tools that I know will do the job properly. My biggest fear is the unceasing changes and steady drop in quality of many of these so-called smartphones made available by companies who know they are substandard, but are affordable to those who don't know, or care about the emerging technologies around them.
