Cheap Dell PDAs hit local market

DELL has hit the local PDA market with two configurations of its Axim X5, and in the process has set new low price points for Pocket PCs powered by Intel Xscale processors.
The first, at $779, runs Xscale at 400MHz. It has 64MB of SDRAM and 48MB of Intel StrataFlash ROM.
The second, at $589, runs Xscale at 300MHz and has 48MB of SDRAM and 32MB of Flash ROM. Both units feature 3.5-inch transflective TFT color displays, with 240x320 (QVGA) resolution and removable 1440 mAh Li-Ion batteries.
