Ok folks, now that Valentine's Day is over, it doesn't mean that you cannot post anymore entries. In fact this would be the best time to enter because you can describe what you did on Valentine's Day.
Keep it coming.

Yeah, well I already entered a goofy poem way back up the thread, but I don't recall seeing any rules about double entries Regardless, a little post- V-day blurb might be in order... mainly because I'm so bored at work.
Because my girlfriend doesn't really like to celebrate Valentine's Day (I kid you not), I had to trick her into letting me take her out to dinner and a movie. Sure, it sounds pretty tame compared to some of the crazy stuff you guys are planning (i.e. proposal!) but you have to understand that we're just students living in different cities, and because we're away from each other all week, just hanging out is pretty special. Besides, we don't have kids to worry about like all you OLD dudes (haha). Thank goodness for that!
My girlfriend checks this site from time to time, probably because she likes my Axim so much :P In fact, whenever I see her she tries her best to beat my high score in Jawbreaker, but I seriously doubt she ever will. Generally, she's the coolest girl ever - when I'm with her I get a strange mix of philisophical discussion, Puzzle Fighter (PS1), backgammon, and snowball fights. Anyway, now that all you guys are jealous :P ...I'll just say that being totally in love makes Valentine's Day easy to enjoy.
How did things go for everybody else?

Roses are red,
Violets are blue;
If you let me win
I'll really love you!

Oh, what the heck ...
This year Valentine's Day was really quiet for us but (to quote my husband) it was quite an affirmation of our geekerness. :P
I actually started on Monday, the 9th. I sent him a Valentine ecard everyday until the 14th. The actual day began with an exchange of gifts. I got an 80Gb hard drive (woo-hoo!) and the new Josh Groban CD (awww ... *warm-fuzzy-feeling*) from hubby. For him, it was the premiere episode of Samurai Jack (hai-ya!) and 2 D&D reference books - Savage Species and Epic Level handbooks. (This was after I told him I wasn't going to get him anything. Hehehe ... unfortunately, he didn't fall for it this time.)
Then a quick lunch and it was out shopping with my Mom. Ok, we didn't really shop but more of went to several places where we thought we wanted or needed stuff. Wound up with cat food (romantic, isn't it?!) and a set of shot glasses (which we inaugurated that night after a visit to "The Strip" - Lubbock's ONLY authorized chain of alcohol retail shops. Lubbock is a dry city, by the way.) Oh, must'n forget a pit stop at Starbucks for the usual Cafe Mocha as well before heading home to our two purr babies.
All in all, I have to say it was one of the best Valentine's Day we've ever had. :inlove:

Well first off, I just registered to this site, so HI!!
I am here because for our anniversary (FEB 11th) my wife gave me an AXIM x3, combo valentines/anniversary present. We have been together for 9 years now, so I thought it would be nice to take her out for a night on the town. I reserved tickets for two to see a concert (Sammy Kershaw) who got sick and canceled, so we ate dinner in a very classy restaurant, where I gave her an new anniversary band then we did a little gambling at the local casino, mi wife won some extra money . It was just nice being together with her since we usually can't find anyone to watch the kids for us. But the best reason for spending time with my wife this year is that I might be activated and sent overseas, so I want to spend more time with the family.

On Valentines day we went shopping to the mall for some clothes. She's tall, it's hard to find something perfect so I went with her in the changing rooms :wub:. .Just to see if everything fits
Then I reserved a good Canadian-Italian restaurant. And we passed the evening at her home with candles and movies. (cool her sisters leaved us alone for once!)
