I have not applied the update yet.
I'm waiting to find out what happens when something goes wrong. Is that something Dell will fix under warranty? Will I be out of luck with an expensive paper weight?

Dell should give support on failed upgrades as long it is not caused by you, but so far, I have not heard of any failed upgrades for the Axim.
Another thing that I've noticed that Dell doesn't offer ROM Backup before the upgrade process. HP offers to backup the entire ROM before the upgrade process in case something happens to the process.
If someone from Dell is reading this, I do hope that Dell have a process on restoring failed upgrades.

My upgrade has been an absolute disaster so far.
No problems before, with A00. Now ActiveSync no longer works (i.e., error messages, silently simply terminating, large-scale and repeated data corruption).
MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP NOT ONLY YOUR DEVICE, BUT YOUR DESKTOP OUTLOOK FILES AS WELL.
This has been a true nightmare for me; I doubt I will ever recover all the data lost. And certianly not the time.

Just upgraded and everything went well. The only problem I had was my backup data wasn't able to be restored.. I don't know why that happened.. but I reinstalled everything and have no problem at all.
To those that are waiting for more inputs from other users who have upgraded theirs.. I can certainly say "Go" to the upgrade. This upgrade actually made my window media player plays movies better. B)

I upgraded to A03 and everything went pretty well. The only thing was I have to re-install Active Sync to get it to work. It worked at first, but then wouldn't keep the connection. Things are OK now. Don't notice much difference in performance.
