Centrality Processor for Mobile Devices Combines GPS and Bluetooth

Semiconductor maker Centrality Communications Thursday introduced a line of processors for GPS-enabled handsets, PDAs, and car navigation systems.

The Atlas processor integrates a 16-channel GPS baseband, Bluetooth baseband, digital camera, LCD controller, NAND Flash bootloader, and a parallel DSP core on a single piece of silicon. Additional peripherals such as Secure Digital, USB, Compact Flash and IrDA are included.

Will run on Pocket PC 2003. Wow ...I can't wait for the new OS to arrive considering the fact that their are software and hardwards ready to run on PPC 2003.
