New to the forum and posting my first Qs.
The BUB in my X30 has been giving me warnings of it's failure for a few months. This didn't stop me from making the mistake of looking for it (and removing the main battery) which caused the loss of all data and programs... Oops!
After the data loss, the first time I tried to Sync I chose not to be a Guest and I was assigned a new folder for file transfer. I quickly found that this was not what I wanted as all of my old data was in the previous folder... Still haven't figured out how to get at that data... Help?
Then I found the forum and did a little reading. I've read up on the BUB and how to shock it back to life and/or replace it, but haven't gotten to that yet. Right now I need the data and have learned not to remove the main battery. Once I'm well practiced in restoring data I'll fix the BUB issue...
From what I read about restoring files, I've gone in and and established a Guest connection and used the tools function to backup my X30. I've also re-installed the other programs I had loaded in the internal memory. I did this from a CF card using my PC.
My problem is that the data for one of the programs is missing and I'm not sure how to re-install it. The program is CodeStore. I use this program all the time and am at a total loss...
Can anyone help me retrieve this data? What is the proper way to restore data and programs? Where should I store them in the future? SD card? Are the Backup Programs helpful/worth the $$$?
