PDF Syncing problems

I hav a X51V with the A12 Rom. It is bone stock, as far as software is concerned. Using the latest Active sync on XP with all service packs & patches(I keep up). I cannot seem to add PDF files to the My documents syncronized folder. any ideas?

How are you trying to add them? Using the my docs file sync folder? Have you enabled file syncing in Tools-->Options in ActiveSync? If so, check your ActivSync conversion settings for pdf files on your PC in ActiveSync's Tools-->Advanced Tools-->Edit File Conversion Settings.

If none of that works, can you explain what exactly happens when you try to copy a pdf to the sync folder?

There is no PDF listing in the "Edit File Conversion Settings". How do I remedy this.

The pdf filetype should be in the "Desktop to Device" tab in the file conversion settings. If it isn't, something is awry with your ActiveSync installation. 4.5?

ok, I have completely wiped activesync of my PC and did a hard reset of the axim. Used a good registry cleaner to flush out any old remmnants.

I downloaded the latest AS4.5 from the MS website, and installed fresh. Established the partnership, looked in the device to desktop and desktop to device panels, NO PDF OPTION!

What in the world am I doing wrong?

You could try choosing 'No conversion" in the PDF conversion menu instead of the default "tagged PDF convertor".

If your screenshots don't look like these, please post them. You mey also need to reinstall Adobe Reader (or my preferred, FoxIT).
