network error that Mahstah reported and there were two great fixes for it and then I had to hard reset and went to apply the fix again and I couldn't, it's a technicality but I'd like some Ideas.

I found a possible fix here for the 'Failed to disable RNDIS to use Serial error" from xda-developers.com.

They say temporarily deleting Bluetooth COM ports made the option work. Granted, it wasn't on an X51v but it was under Windows Mobile 5.

I deleted everything, soft reset and no joy, BT settings modem settings wlan settings, everything that does not require hard reset. I don't feel like doing a full reinstall tonight.

Answer, hitch hiker settings. I have been installing everything that allows me to, to CF, and I trialled Hitch Hiker, wifi software and the settings for it's com ports were still on CF card and reapplied after every soft reset. That folder gone "disable advanced network functionality" error message gone. I'm glad I didn't hard reset!
this fix based on thread here, and some searching,
