The error that Mahstah reported has been plagueing me. I hope I can apply this fix. Some where in the setup I stuffed up. It comes up on the axim after Iconnect to PC. It's some sort of networking glitch. The only network connection I have is the laptop I connect to to synch. Apparently I set up a network when I plugged lthe axim in??????
I have naively been trying to connect to my ax in many differeht ways I suppose if you reset and start again you'll find the step that gets you that message. aaaI haven'tl lllllllllllllllllllllgot A solution for that but everytime I connect I get lthe same error message, Jimchen is a network export, he might help both of us!

There are two solutions to this problem, one by l0l and one by mbloof. When the problem originated, A06 was the newest ROM and l0l's solution was the only one. In ROM A12 mbloof's solution became available with the addition of the USB to PC option.

USB toPC option.
Did MBloof's solution, was wondering?
Things changed, cradle connection used to be a network connection. Error message gone. Windows XP taskbar message, "found new hardware axim x51. your new hardware is installed and ready to use" active sync didnt detect ax untill ai restarted twice, but error no more. I don't have a regedit app, does mbloof's solution change the reg settings. Just a thought?

Hard reset, rom upgrade, driver rolling patch. I don't get the error anymore but I can't apply Mbloof's fix either[even though I seemingly don't need to] I'm lost on this one. HELP

Didn't you say that you no longer get the error? Why do you want to use the fix? As long as you have A12, the option mbloof refers to is in Start-->Settings-->Connections-->USB to PC-->disable advanced network functionality.

Sorry more to the point I can't disable advanced network functionality now at all, I went to apply the fix before ASing for the first time after updating rom and driver patch and and am wondering if anyone else is getting the same problem, even though I'm not getting the error anymore
