I can't turn my Axim on

Sorry, I just realized that I should have posted this here instead of the other forum.

I just got my Axim yesterday and followed the instructions for the 8 hour charge. But it won't turn on. Even when the power button is green, it won't turn on. I'm getting very angry. Any suggestions?

I just got my X30 this week as well, and thought I had the same problem-- However, my backlight was just turned completely off (why they'd ship it this way, I don't know), so it appeared nothing was working. It took a lot of very close peering to get to the backlight settings without any light, but it was doable. Are you absolutely sure this isn't the problem?

Backlight... well, you sound like you're talking about the USB cradle. I don't have that... I just have the cable.

Nope, the backlight is just the light that makes the axim screen visible. On your axim this backlight may be set to very very dark so it seems like its not on when in fact its just really dark. Look real close and see if maybe the axim is actually on. Then go to start settings brightness to adjust it if you can see. Correct me if I'm wrong guys but I believe there is also some way to adjust the brightness by holding in and pushing up on the scroll wheel?

I also had a problem with seeing the screen for the first time powering the X30 on. I do not think that you can adjust the brightness with the scroll button, I think that only pertains when you have the axim charging, but I can be very wrong.

When you press the power button, make sure that you hold for at least 2 seconds for the backlight to turn on. If it doesn't seem to make a difference then you will have to look really close, goto settings > System tab > Brightness and adjust the backlight this way.
