HELP! Activesync Errors

when i try to sync my x30 the inbox wont sync. i know its connected to my computer because the favorites folder syncs but the inbox says attention required. when i click on resolve items a box called "Information Type Not Synchronized" pops up and it says: "Items of one or more information types cannot be synchronized. Disconnect and Reconnect your device. To view all error messages and dialog boxes that require your input, you must connect to this computer via infrared or serial/usb cable." what do i do to make it sync outlook? thanks.

I have not experienced this before. I would suggest saving data in favorites. Uninstalling Activsync unplug the usb cable. Reinstalling Activsync. Make sure you are using a new version of outlook. Soft reset the AX. Plug it in turn it on and try it again.

ya i did all of that stuff and it still didnt work. it had the same thing that it had before.

HMM. I have not ran into this problem and I am not a computer/pda wiz but you can try to trouble shoot by doing the obvious. Try to sync via IR or wifi. If you have wifi in your computer you can connect peer to peer. You will need to set up the wifi on the AX to connect with the computer. Also are you running outlook 2000 or better (not outlook express)? I would check to see if there are any options/preferences in Outlook that you may need to change to sync with PDA. i do have outlook express actually. but i installed outlook 2002 off of the cd they gave me and the same thing still comes up.

Wow dont know maybe try to sync another method other than cradle just to see if you can get outlook to sync (wifi or IR). If that works you probably have bad cradle/cable/port or somthing.

OK I ran into a simmilar problem. Could not sync with outlook even though it worked befor. I uninstalled sync from pc disonnected usb cable hard reset AX and started from scratch. Wala I now could sync outlook email.

i'm having a similiar problem. i just picked up my ax, yesterday. i installed outlook 02 & AS prior to connecting my device/cradle (as instructed). it won't sync, i get a "microsoft exchange server not available", i'm simply trying to establish a partnership between the PC and the PDA. what do i do about the "exchange server"?

on the device, when i tap "error", it says "the connnction failed due to missing server info or user credentials..." error code: DEV_9

any suggestions?

i've already uninstalled AS, disconnected the cradle, did a hard reset, and went back through the set up. it does the same thing
