Secure Digital Memory Slot

I am wondering if this slot works in a similar fashion as the CF card slot. I thought I could just slide in the card, and use file explorer to get to the pictures I have stored on it from my digital camera. This did not work as I had hoped. Is there a third party software required to view the SD card's contents?

There shouldnt be. It should work just like your cf card. Have you tried a soft reset?

Just tried a hard reset as well, still nothing, could it be that it does not freaking work?

Have you tried any other card in your sd slot? Or your card in some other slot?

I have tried both SD cards, both work in my camera

Sounds like a hardware problem. Might have to send it back to dell.

Tried my cards in a co-workers Axim, I am SOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the bright side, I might be able to get a new one now.

Is the SD card a SanDisk? SanDisk are really hit and miss with the Axims. My works fine but others with the exact same model / batch have had issues in their Axims.
