USB Syncing Problems

I've synced my Axim X5 with other computers before, and a couple of times I've had problems getting the ActiveSync to see my Ax. In the past I've always gotten in to eventually work. This time I can't seem to get it up and running. I downloaded the newest version of ActiveSync (3.7.1), but it is still a no go. Can someone give me some advice.

I've also tried different USB ports, and reinstalling ActiveSync.

Well I tried to sync my Axim at work which I haven't done for 3 weeks and my work computer no longer sees my Axim. I've done everything I could find on Microsoft's and Dell's sites and none of them seem to work. If someone has any ideas I'm open to anything. I really don't want to spend two hours holding for Dell support.

well I have not actually started ussing axim yet, and I am a NOOB when it comes to this kind of stuff, so you should probably ignore me. however, i am currently ussinga Cassio Cassiopea Le'genda be500, and that pulls the same thing on me every other week. I have no idea why. The only thing that I have found that works, is to RE-INSATAL teh active sync software/drivers on teh main box, and doing a rain dance. you might have to do a HARD reset, which would suck, but it might solve your problums too....I know its not much help, and I am sure you have tried teh first sugestion, but if not, GL

I use to have the same problems...Im using Win 2000. I was toled to install a network card. Went to best buy and got a D-link Dfe-530x+PCI adapter. and for some stange reason...its been working with no problems.
