Dell X51 and Thumb Keyboard

Does anyone use the Belkin Thumb Keyboard? If so, are you able to map any of the buttons on it to use it in place of a game controller?

Would like to be able to use my NES Emulator more often, but the "mail" and "home" buttons locations make it hard. I've seen some gamepads out there, but none of them enable you to hold the device and the gamepad at the same time (at least not for a device the size of the Axim).

Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly welcomed.
