Hi. I just recently purchased a MiniSync cable and Boxwave combination cigarette lighter plug / AC outlet jack to use with my Dell Axim X30. I'm having problems with it regarding the battery being discharged when used with the MiniSync cable and Boxwave jack.
Here's a scenario I'm seeing with it. Let's say that the battery on the Dell has been fully charged via the cradle. Next, I plug one end of the MiniSync cable into the Dell Axim X30, and the other end into the Boxwave plug attached to an AC outlet.
I turn on Wifi, then browse the web and also listen to streaming media via Windows Media Player (altogether for just over a half-hour). Without turning the Dell off, if I go to "Power Settings" on the Dell, it will show me that the battery is 99% charged. No problem with that. However, after a half hour of streaming audio and web browsing, if I turn the Dell off, then turn it back on (without removing the MiniSync cable and Boxwave jack), it shows the battery nearly discharged (despite indicating that it's being charged).
Afterward, if I turn off the Dell, attach it to the Dell cradle, then turn it on, it indicates that the battery is around 45-50% charged and is charging. But again, if I shut off the Dell, remove it from the cradle, then plug it into the MiniSync cable and Boxwave plug (still attached to AC), then turn on the Dell, it indicates a much lower charge left on the battery (but again, it says that it's charging).
Has anyone observed anything similar to this and found a solution to it, or could it be a possibly defected MiniSync cable or Boxwave plug? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.
Jeff
