ecost.com was also running a sale on 256MB kingston cf cards. I bought two from their site for $39 each and after a rebate of $10 the cost will come out to be $29! see if they still have any left.

As far as functionality, I have tested both with my canon A80 camera (got them for the camera, not the Ax) and the cards work just fine.
