Connecting X3 with Seiko DPU3445

I am trying to connect my Axim X3 to a Portable Printer model Seiko DPU3445. I can connect it using infrared but infrared is slow. I am trying to connect it with cable instead but I couldn't buy the cable. The seiko DPU 3445 comes with a RS232C serial interface but in RJ12 form. I try to make my own cable but failed. Anyone out there knows how to solve this problem? Or where to buy the cable? :blink:

The pinout is strange but I think the pinout on some of the automatic telescopes are very strange!

Are you connecting all pins avaiable on the printer to all pins of a DB9 or DB25? Also have you tried switching pins 1 and 2? The RX and TX lines. Remember you need to switch and connect different pins to different pins. Been a while but a null modem adapter may help you out. Not sure.

Also are you doing a direct connect between the X3i bottom pins to your wiring interface at the printer. You will deffently need a RS232 adapter cable if not.

Last can the software driver/program be switch to I think Com1 on the X3.
