New Piel Frama mouse mat

I was lucky enough to win a PF mouse pad from one of the recent competitions. The pad was shipped directly from PF, in Spain, and arrived this morning via UPS, before 10AM.

The packaging of this item was fabulous. It arrived in a handsome red-topped cardboard box, with the PF logo on top. Inside, the pad was wrapped in a heavy-grade green paper, again with the logo embossed in gold. Very classy! It almost made me think of saving the mouse pad, and giving it to someone for Christmas...but I came to my senses, and opened further.

My mouse mat (as they call them), is black, and gorgeous. It is leather on the top surface, with a suede wrist-rest at one end. The bottom of the pad is protected with what feels like black velvet. The Piel Frama logo is embossed at the top of the pad, and lends just the right note of sophistication. The pad is not huge, and fits nicely in front of my monitor, without taking up too much space.

As you can see from my photo, I'm a Piel Frama fan, after splurging this summer on one of their ostrich skin cases for my Axim X5. The customer service is excellent, and the quality of the case is the best I've seen.

They are not inexpensive, but if you need just the 'right' gift for someone special (maybe even yourself?), these folks have some nice products.

Very nice. The folks at Piel Frama sure make some nice looking leather prodcuts. I could only imagine they smell wonderful, too!
