Sorry to bother you with a seemingly stupid question...
I just got my new axim x5 plus a netgear m701 wifi card and the ambicom Blootooth card.
I installed Active sync 3.6 and that worked fine, syncing did work.
the axim is still like new, no settings changed or anything, like after a hard reset.
now i wanted to install the MA 701, doing as described in the netgear users guide. e.g. starting setup.exe from the netgear driver cd while the x5 is connectd to my pc via active sync. the "software on the device" window flops up - there is nothing installed - and i can simply press ok, and then finish in the netgear installation dialogue. Nothing happens. The x5 is synchronized and all, but there is nothing installed. Soft reset has no effect.
Its the same with the Ambicom drivers.
When i insert the netgear card, its says unrecognized device.
On the other hand, when i try to install another software, for example resco file explorer, the dialog pops up " install the softwate in the default programs location" (or something like that) when i press ok i see a status bar while copiying files over to the pda, and afterwards a messega comes up telling me to check the screen of the device for poosible more steps to take. the soft installs just fine.
The same with the intersil prism drivers... They isntall just fine like they should do, only the do not seem to work with the MA 701 card, but at least the get transferred normally to the pda...
i am a bit unsure what to do now, is there anything i am missing - any ideas why the drivers just do not install??? i mean, what can i do now???
I hope you can help me soon, because i am really feeling pissed off, now that i have the pda and cant use it the way i want to....
