I need help setting up a VPN $ a proxy server

I am somewhat new to wireless networking. I have a Dell Axim X5 and would like to connect to my home network so I can view files and see my computers at home.
1st. Question. Do I need to setup a VPN on my main computer (192.168.1.100)
2nd. Question. On my X5 it tell me to setup my proxy server, but I have no idel what go into those blank spaces.
3rd. Question. It also tell my to setup my VPN and if what certificates are on my Axim.

Please Help

Hope you have solved this but just in case...

If all you are doing is wanting to connect to another PC on your home network from home then you don't need VPN.

You will need to set up wireless networking on your AXIM to match the configuration of your home router. If you aren't sure what these are then ask the person who set it up.

Once you get a connection to your router and you get an IP address allocated by the router to your AXIM then you should be able to browse the web and connect to any shares on your home PC.

BTW: VPN is a Virtual Private Network and is usually used to (for example) connect a PC at your home to a private network (e.g. your work) by going over a public network (e.g. your ISP). It may be thought of as extending your work's private network into your home. Obviously there are a lot more security concerns to take into account when setting up one of these networks - hence the questions about certificates etc.
