How do I setup my Axim X51v and Linksys Wireless Gateway?

Hi all.
I'm new to all this WiFi lark and would like to setup my Axim X51v to brows the web. How do I setup the Axim and Linksys, I've had a go but must admit I've no idea what I'm doing, the Axim find the Linksys, but when I try and browse the web with IE it says Network Log On and trys to go through GPRS, it's doing my head right in. Any help much appreciated.

I got my mom's going in the office. We have a linksys wireless router. Did you enable the wireless by pressing the button on the left side twice? Blue light flashes on the front.

Also do you have a wep key on your router?

In connection, settings, wireless do you have the accept beams on?

It should detect your network and prompt you for any wep key. She just walked off with it and I set it up a month ago, so that's all I can come up with to check from memory.

Hello Warren-

Why does your Axim try to go through GPRS? Do you have a cellular card for internet access? Your wireless (802.11b) is very different from GPRS.

You need a green light to indicate WiFi communication, blue is to indicate Bluetooth activity.

As Catchclaw says, use the wifi button on the side of the unit, or you can launch the Dell WLAN Client from the system tray to enable wireless. From there the Axim will prompt you to enter a key for an encrypted network or it will simply connect to an unencrypted one.*
