Although I don't remember all the specifics, the gist of the solution of connecting was to 1) make sure the Odyssey Client is NOT running.
1) turn off your router and cable modem 2) do a soft reset on the PPC. 3) turn on your cable modem 4) do a soft reset (30 seconds or more) on the router. Then everything should work like magic.
Although that solution seems pretty brainless, and I'm sure you'll say you've tried it and it still didn't work, try it again!
I think what Dell was telling me was to clear out all the settings you've been fiddling with on your Router and PPC, go back to defaults, don't use Odyssey, and everything should work fine. I had been reading posts on this web site, aximsite.com and Dells KB and trying everyones suggestion to no avail.
The assumption is that your LAN is working fine, which mine was. I had a wireless laptop connecting just fine to the Linksys wireless-B router which was connected to the cable modem. I don't have any fancy firewall stuff or exotic configurations.
