I have a Dell Axim and I cannot get connected to the Internet using my Linksys WFC12.
I can see the SSID, I get 100% signal strength and quality but get the "Trouble connecting" error on the Axim when hitting the browser. CF model works fine. I've tried DHCH and fixed IP addresses. I called Linksys three times and they were 0 help. I have three other wireless devices on the network with no issues.
ISP is ATT Broadband
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Dave

Question for you. You say the the CF model works fine? Does that mean you can connect your Axim with a different card?
Have you gone into Start/Settings/Connections and made sure that it says Internet/Work/Internet? This would be the first place I would look.

Agree with Duckman, but pay close attention to "My Network card connects to:"
Make sure that one is set to The Internet

I've posted this on another thread ...hopefully it works.
Synopsis:
This wizard will run on your desktop and will help you set up your Pocket PC to accept a variety of connection options. The wizard will take you through a step-by-step process for setting up a modem connection, Virtual Private Network connection, and a cell phone connection, among others. The wizard will also automatically configure other information, such as your e-mail and instant messaging settings. This information is automatically taken from your desktop computer and will be put on your Pocket PC, saving you time.
Once your Pocket PC is configured, you can then use your Pocket PC to connect to the Web, your corporate e-mail, and intranet to get access to your most critical information!
Download it here: Microsoft Pocket PC Connection Wizard

Another thing that you might want to do is do a soft reset, I've found that very helpful for my WCF11. ^_^
Let us know if any of our suggestions works.

Try using a third party software to release and renew your ip address. I know I had the same problem you had. I personaly use pocket dhcp and/or pocket lan.

Thanks to all!
The connection wizard followed by a soft reset did the trick. I only wish Linksys knew those things before spending literally hours with them.
Thanks again,
Dave

Glad you found the problem. My question was going to be about connecting through your desktop. To do that, you have to make sure that you have internet sharing setup.
