Glad you made some progress, as for updates. There is now a WM6 ROM floating around, I think at HTC geeks, a LennySH ROM. The process for flashing a ROM is well documented. Search the site, there is a link to a video demo of the flashing process somewhere. I don't know how good the ROM is so proceed with caution. It will allow for more advanced networking options though. Merry Christmas.

Refer to the manual for your router, you can normally access the the routers firmware interface from a connected PC, if not via wifi, then with a cable connection. The usual way is from a browser, you enter an IP address, in the address bar, specific for your router, and you will be brought to a log in page. Once you've logged in to the router, it's different for every one, you will have to find somewhere what the router is broadcasting. Sorry I can't be more specific than that!
