The X50v was designed to run WM2003SE, but many users have reported success with WM6. What ROM version of WM6 are you using? They have an A03 available for the X50v. You can read about the various releases over at XDA Developers here.

However, if you're determined to smash it into little pieces I can send you postage so I can, uh, smash it...
