You should press the contacts button to restore factory settings. However, you should make sure that you don't have any storage cards installed in your AX before you start the process. I know how aggravating it is to lose files you'd like to keep. I recently burnt out my SD card with several files that i'd compiled over the years at work which weren't backed up. Hope you get your AX back in working order they are extremely handy gadgets. Good luck.
