Axim X3i stuck on screen align

I have an Axim X3i and I have attempted the repair as described at Replacing Digitizer, but it is still stuck on screen align. I have noticed on eBay I can get a new digitizer for about $20 and wondered if this will fix my problem?

I have cleaned everything, done a hard reboot, attempted cable repair, and it is still stuck on screen align.

I should also mention before the hard reboot everything worked fine, just the alignment was off.
