Pedah is right you should update your ROM. A12 will make your ax run smoother, faster, and longer. Here are the links to update your ROM.

For the X51 http://ftp.us.dell.com/utility/R129273.EXE
and
For the x51V http://ftp.us.dell.com/utility/R129272.EXE
These are the ROM updates. You can also check out this page i found with some pretty good directions to upgrade your ROM.
