Manage to activesync via Bluetooth
Hi all,
I just got my Dell Axim V51. Try to activesync via Bluetooth. Initially, got the same problem, i.e., my Dell Axim kept complaining about "Cannot find an existing partnership with a PC that supports ActiveSync ..."
I am using Microsoft XP BT drivers. After doing an internet search, I am lead to this excellent forum and had follow Mahstah tip. After some tries, I managed to get my Dell Axim V51 to activesync via BT.
Here briefly what I did ...
i) Pair my Axim with my PC.
ii) On my PC, under control panel, bluetooth services, I add a com port for incoming connection. On my PC, the com port allocated is 15.
iii) On my PC, under MS Activesync program, under connection setting - allow connection to one of the following, I choose Com 15.
iv) On my Axim, under BT setting, on the Devices tab, when I tab on my PC partnership, initially, I did not have Activesync as the offered services. Instead, I got serial. I notice that if I try to activesync via BT, I would keep getting the above mentioned message of not able to find existing partnership ... After re-reading Mahstah tip/advice, I delete the existing partnership and re-pair my Axim with my PC. Volia! I saw Activesync as the services available. After that, activesync via BT work great without problem.
Note that, on my Axim, under BT setting, I did not to set the com port setting to this to work.
Hope this help. Good luck.
