Thanks !
Outlook is a Microsoft program, it comes in 2 versions, Outlook , or Outlook express ( a cut down or reduced version of the program).
It is a PC based contacts, diary and email program that replaces your current mail program. The benefits of it are that Outlook can sync and manage your PDA data files so that you get a copy of your emails, contacts etc on your PDA which can be very useful.
The main benefit is that it seamlessly works with Activesync.
Activesync will work with other email and contact programs, but Outlook is just easy.
As this is a licenced Microsoft program, it is unlikely that Dell will "give" you another licence as they have to pay MS. You could try contacting Dell and explaining your problem, who knows, perhaps they will issue you another licence, but I doubt it.
Try your friends licence, it might just allow you to register a second copy after it asks a series of questions. You may even have to telephone Microsoft to get an authorisation code. But,if you have to, you will have to buy a new licence from Microsoft.
Outlook is however part of the Microsoft Office suite, so if you have Microsoft Office, ie word, excel etc, you will find Outlook on the CD supplied and this will be included in the licence for that CD.
