Yes, WM2003 does support larger cards, with people reporting good results on 4GB cards.
I'v personally used 2GB cards in an X5 without any problems, but remember to install the Cf timing update.
The only problme I've experienced and seen reported by others are with Microdrives, some are not supported ( Magistor)
