Did you download WM5 drivers ??. As you insert the card, the axim should inform you the card is recognised, if it does not, then you have a driver problem.

Does the axim recognise normal CF cards.?

Oned question, is your axim under 21 days old ?, you could always return it for one with WiFi built in
