I don't think you can do what you are asking with just the software on the x51 by itself. You will need to install a generic printer driver program such as ActivePrint. This is not free, but you can fined details on

From my understanding, this installs a generic driver but I do not know if the printout - ie layout, would be fully what you expect.
I would also suggest you go back to the manufacturer of the adapter and ask that he confirms that he has experience of this adapter working with PDA's.
Have you tried searching for the adapter using your X51 ?. Connections can be initiated from both sides and you can ask your axim to search for services available on the adapter. If the axim does not find the adapter when searching, then either they are not compatable or the adapter is at fault ( check this by using your axim to look for another bluetooth device)
