Okay -- a slight update on the situation.
What I have found is that my "work" account that I set up in the PPC is NOT the account that Outlook synchs to in the cradle. The synch account is the Outlook Email account, which is set (by default) to whatever the default account is on the desktop Outlook program (in my case, my "Home" account). So when I sych in the cradle, it only compares between the desktop folders and the Outlook Email folder family on the PPC.
My "Work" account has an entirely separate family of folders under a separate tree. When I draft an email there and hit "Send" it goes to the Outbox, but it won't leave because the PPC doesn't synch that account. If I hit the "Connect" or "Send/Receive" icon, it will connect through the cradle and send the mail (passing it through the desktop Outlook). One interesting side note is that when I use this method, the outgoing email does not get copied to the "Sent Messages" folder on the desktop computer.
The "new" problem, then, is how I get my "Work" account to receive the incoming messages from the desktop. Right now, the messages that get transferred during a synch go to the "Inbox" on the Outlook Email account -- but I want them to go to the Inbox of my "Work" account. I haven't found a way to move a message from one Inbox to the other ("Move" doesn't work -- that only allows you to move things within the same account). So I can't reply to an incoming email with the correct "Work" account.
Anybody have any insight on how to move email messages between accounts on the PPC? There must be a simple way -- I just haven't found it yet!
Thanks!
Jim
