Best to set the baud rate at 4800, the lowest you can until you get connected. The lower the rate, the more stable. If you set too, high, the PDA should reduce the rate automatically until it connects.
From memory, my BT connection is comm 7 or comm 8, but first, without using your navigation software, have you set your PDA to search for the BT device ?. Their is a search mode that you need to set.
Again from memory, you need to "pair" the devices first before navigation software will find the BT transmitter.
