I read both this post and your other one regarding the battery, Sounds like you have purchased a second hand unit that seems very sick !!!.
I suggest you do a device reset. That is you press and hold POWER, Contacts, Press in the side action switch and hold and also press reset ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
Hold for about 5 seconds and then release reset and power.
Continue to press the action switch and contacts for about 10 seconds then release.
You may see a screen asking you to choose between a reset or a hardware test. If so, you can choose the hardware test. Once this has finished, press reset.
After this, your machine will be back at factory settings and hopefully your problem removed.
NOTES
1) Make sure the x5 is connected to mains power when you do this.
2) You may have to press the button sequence a number of times before you get the timing and actions correct ( it can be a little difficult at first
3) The above sequence will loose ALL data from your X5, so if needed , back it up first
