Another option if you rotate your screen often is to assign a button to do the job for you. Personally I never use the Voice Recorder option so I just swaped it out for the screen rotation.
To do this:
1) Start-Settings-Buttons
2) Choose a button to re-assign by selecting it
3) In the "assign a program" drop-down, choose "<Rotate Screen>"
