I use wififofum and there is a way to use the GPS and the AXIM at the same time. You can get the coordinates as well as the name of the ssid in the list.
You have to get a cable to connect the GPS to the Axim. I got mine from GPS City.

You have to set up a serial connection to the GPS but the packaging tells you how to do that.
I love it! You can take the data file and put it into maps and charts.
