I recently got my dell axim X30, 64 RAM 624 MHZ. I have microsoft works 7.0 database on my other computers and I have a ton of large and IMPORTANT files in these databases that I planned on using with my AXIM. I am trying to import these works 7.0 database files to pocket excel on my AXIM and I am having one heck of a time. Works will not give me an option to save the spreadsheets as an excel (xl) file so when I put it on my AXIM and try to open it an error message says that there is no application associated with the file and to open it from inside the program that I want to use it with. When i open excel it won't give me an option to open the file from it.
What now? ANY SUGGESTIONS?
My only idea is to shell out a couple hundred bucks (UGGH) for microsoft office and install that and replace my microsoft works 7.0 with it but then I have the same problem of getting these works files into excel, etc.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
