When I press the power button, my axim is not turning off... the screen is off, but the unit itself isn't. Like if I'm listening to an MP3, when I press the power to turn off, I still hear the music. I know I'm just not turning the backlight off because the screen is completely off, I don't seen any kind of screen, but music is stilll playing. The other day, I shut down all programs, and poweroff, when I turn it back on, my main battery was drained completetly. I'm assuming that this happened because of the power issue I'm describing.

It is weired of it to happen that way. Although I don't have an X3, I'm wondering if that is a new feature of the X3 to where you can continue to listen while the screen is off. That is the way with the Pocket PC Phone Edition - the screen will turn off, but you'll still be able to talk, it is a battery saving feature.
As for the power, if you're not aware of it, even when your device is turned off, it will continue to use the battery, so that it can continue to retain anything that you have in RAM.
