As we're blessed with a couple of young kids, but cursed with a dearth of babysitters we'll be staying in for our Valentine's Day "Date". So, within these constraints...
... I'll make sure that she's
not woken by the kids on Saturday morning, but rather by a tray consisting of fresh fruit salad, natural yoghurt and a freshly brewed black coffee. After a lie in for an hour or so (whilst I occupy the kids) we'll drive into town where I have arranged an appointment for her to get her hair done. When she's done, we'll have lunch in our favourite cafe (sadly with the kids, but they'll be good... on pain of death
) After a little post-lunch shopping, we'll head back home and let the kids wear themselves out in the garden, then pack them off to bed as early as possible. I'll prepare meal (as yet undecided) and we'll settle down on the sofa for a little TV, with a nice bottle of Chablis, before retiring for an early night.
