I got my socket compact flash modem today for the x5. I went through the instructions for setting up a modem connection for my isp in the connections tab. I even tried running the setup off the cd - it said something about the "where are you" application not supporting the connected device (I had my x5 connected to the laptop with the travel cable), but the connection settings said socket compact flash modem....
When I bring up explorer, all I have is the instructions. Is there any way to test to see if the modem is set up right? What am I missing? And, yes, the phone cord is plugged in. hehe
